Prayer - Our Father In Heaven (HP13)

Mat 6:9  In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.

In this manner pray - Our Lord had taught us the manner how to pray and we must follow it closely.

Our Father in heaven - God is our Father and not only my Father. So when we come before Him we must realize He is also the Father of all Christians. The more we read the news, the more we will see that in many countries Christians are facing horrifying atrocities. Can you feel His pains and sorrows? Seeing His children tortured, humiliated, murdered, decapitated and His daughters abused, raped and killed by the Islamic terrorists in Nigeria and the Arab nations. Christians are also tortured and killed in Pakistan, India and some Muslim countries. Christians in the so-called Christian nations of US and EU are persecuted for being faithful to His word by rejecting same sex marriage. Brethren, when our Lord are affected by all these sufferings and atrocities on His children, and yet we are impervious to His feelings, how can we call Him Father when we don't even understand Him and His feelings? We should be praying for our suffering brethren and also thankful that we are still alive, enjoying our peaceful surroundings and are spared from those insane, cruel and demonic terrorists. But instead we come before the Lord and pray for our selfish blessings, prosperities and pleasures. Where is our love for one another?

Rev 2:13   “I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells."
God is in control of every situation concerning us, His children. When we hear of persecutions, atrocities and killing of our brethren, we must always pray for them, for God's mercy, for their faith and endurance during these testing times. We must also thank God for His love and patience in perfecting His children who were martyred and that there will be great joy in heaven for the many saints who have just completed their races in glory.

Rev 2:9-10   “I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life."
